Committed to Safety
Code Red Robotics – The FIRST Responders are committed to safety. Each year we delegate a student as the “Safety Captain” for the team. This person is responsible to making sure the following aspects of safety are met during the season.
- PIT Safety
- Clean and organized
- Visitor Safety
- Robot Safety
- Clearly labeled hazards
- Competition Safety
- Local emergency numbers on hand
- Maps to local hospitals and medical facilities are available
- Trained AED operator
- General Safety During Build and Competition Season
- Safety glasses available to all
- Proper clothing including closed toe shoes and gloves as needed
- Power tool safety
